Train Ride in Steamtown

Here are the rust buckets that they had to rent to take us on our train ride. They couldn't get #3000 in gear for a while so we had to reverse on the way back restricted.

Bob and I were loving the 1920's music that they were playing at the station. The Flappers in their dresses were 80 years old. I thought they should be young and hot, not the originals.

I can relate. My rust bucket puked out its alternator on the way to work that Friday morning. I got it towed and fixed right away, but the $550 hole it blew in my wallet left me sitting at home that weekend. Every year it's something different. I guess it's better it happened there than out in the middle of nowhere (I was planning on foaming on the way back).

Damn, you could have slapped it in on the side of the road in twenty minutes and saved yourself 450bucks.

Not this one. It's buried, would have to lift the car, pull the front tire, pull the fender liner thing, reach in and take off the wires and one bolt, dismantle a bunch of crap under the hood to get to it from above, find the tensioner, nothing I could/wanted to do on the side of I-77 in a Cleveland rush hour. If it were my truck, I would have had it changed in the time it took me to write this. I'm so disappointed in missing this trip, and finally meeting you guys. Words can't describe.
